Introduction to Fear free and Force free Training
We have decided to team up with ABC Dog Training and Behaviour in a bid to raise awareness into different training methods and how they can affect your dog's welfare.
In this course you will have all your questions answered so that you can make an informed decision about who you take your dog ( and yourself) to learn with.
Social Skills
By following a behaviour plan you can teach your dog coping mechanisms around other dogs, and even the most reactive dogs can learn to feel relaxed around a mixed group of dogs.
Reactive dogs
Just because your dog is reactive doesnt mean they need a heavy handed approach. You can set your dog up to succeed and therefore not react by using kinder methods that take into consideration the individual dogs needs.
Dogs are family not wolves
Dogs have evolved over thousands of years to be the companions and family members they are today. They are not wolves, and dont need to be treated like a wolf. They are family members, and like children, need to be taught what we want from them from the ground up with patience, kindness and understanding. Of course they do need to learn consequences and boundaries, but there is no need to inflict pain or fear to achieve these.
